Synthetic typical year built from the site's latitude and climate, with day-to-day cloud variation. Running costs only, from your prices. Battery 90% usable, 95% one-way efficiency; generator fuel curve 0.246 L per kWh plus 0.081 L per kW of rating an hour.
Questions
About this tool
How does the simulator work?
It builds a year of sunshine for your country from latitude and climate, then runs your load hour by hour through solar, battery, grid and diesel.
What can I change?
Daily energy, peak load, load shape, grid hours and price, diesel price, solar share and battery hours, or let the tool size solar and battery for a renewable target.
How much diesel can solar and batteries save?
It depends on sunshine, load shape and battery size. The simulator shows the litres and the fuel and grid bill before and after, for your country and prices.
What does renewable share mean?
The share of the energy your site uses that comes from solar, directly or through the battery, over a full year.
How accurate is it?
It is a planning estimate. Starlit confirms every design with site data before quoting.
